York

York, once called Jorvik, was once the capital of a Viking territory. This city has so much to explore, you can step back in time to the middle ages and visit the Shambles. Whitby

Whitby is a seaside town and port. Situated on the east coast of Yorkshire at the mouth of the River Esk, Whitby has a maritime, mineral and tourist heritage. The fishing port emerged during the Middle Ages, supporting important herring and whaling fleets, and where Captain Cook learned seamanship.

Home to the ruins of Whitby Abbey, where Cædmon, the earliest recognised English poet, lived, it is also associated with the horror novel Dracula.

A top tourist destination, enhanced by the proximity of the high ground of the North York Moors national park and the heritage coastline. Jet and alum were mined locally, along with Whitby jet, which was mined by the Romans and Victorians, became fashionable during the 19th century.

Bridlington

Situated in the heart of the town lies its magnificent bustling harbour, a living reminder of the town's rich fishing heritage. It's the perfect place to marvel at panaramic views out to sea. Filey

Once a sleepy fishing village defined by its charismatic 19th Century cottages, Filey is now a popular holiday destination filled with plenty of things to do including sporting activities, historic landmarks, and some of North Yorkshire’s most beautiful scenery.

There are plenty of things to do in Filey such as exploring the local culture and natural scenery. When it comes to food and drink this compact town has everything from historic pubs and independent cafes, to local distilleries and breweries.

Filey Beach shouldn’t be missed, this beach boasts five miles of sand. The beach is lined with colourful beach huts that are available to hire during summer.
